Today, everything came full circle with Metra’s announcement of complete renovations for three South Side stations right where I used to play basketball as a child.

It’s now a beautiful garden in a park across the street from the entrance to their 79th/Chatham Station!
Just like how this very ground served as a crucial recreation space for kids like me, it will now take those same South Side youth on journeys to every corner of Chicago and every stretch of Cook County.
