Dr Oscar Guobadia shared a quote with us from Pastor Gicele Wray-Lindley: “My assignment on the Earth is to be a blessing to others.”
This morning, I witnessed the manifestation of that blessing at Transformation Church International as we honored the life and work of Pastor Gigi, a beloved member and leader of our community here in the 3rd District, on the South Side of Chicago, and around the world. Thank you to Alderman Derrick Curtis for helping to memorialize Gicele by naming the 7700 and 7800 blocks of South Kedzie in her honor!
Our office submitted an official resolution into Cook County Legislation, Item #22-6057: HONORING AND RECOGNIZING THE LIFE OF PASTOR GICELE “Gigi” WRAY-LINDLEY, to officially commemorate Pastor Gigi’s influence across the City and County.
